Africa’s largest mobile operator, MTN has extended CEO Ralph Mupita’s contract to August 2030.
Originally Mupita’s term was slated to run through to the end of September next year.
The company says the MTN Group board of directors approved the contract extension after the mobile operator reached an agreement with Mupita.
MTN Group chairman Mcebisi Jonasi in a statement said: “The extension of Ralph’s tenure will provide important continuity during a period of significant global and regional uncertainty.”
