Chief electoral officer of the electoral commission of Namibia Peter Shaama has called for a meet after political parties have prompted him to resign.
The political parties had called out for him to resign after Electoral Commission of Namibia had failed and mishandled the election.
The electoral commission failed to set up polling stations, voting machines were malfunctioning and there were shortages of ballot papers on opposition strongholds.
This has led him to call on a meeting to explain what took place during the elections.
