WATCH LIVE: Gambakwe looks at the IIP Fake degrees that have been awarded to prominent and politically connected Zimbabweans. The High court in ZImbabwe found the degrees to be fake. However, the list of respondents have not been published as directed.
ZIMCHE has also directed IIP to publicly withdraw all degrees issued within 30 days. However, this has not been done as the list contains sensitive names.

Oliver Mtukudzi: The legendary musician was awarded an honorary doctorate for his contributions to music and social change.
Gershem Pasi: Former Commissioner-General of the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority.
Ruth Makandiwa: Wife of Emmanuel Makandiwa, founder of the United International Family Church.
Isabel Chihuri: Wife of former Police Commissioner-General Augustine Chihuri.
Frank Chitukutuku: Former CEO of the Zimbabwe National Roads Administration.
Merissa Kambani: Managing Director of Avenues Clinic.
Pastor Ruth Musarurwa: Of Christ Embassy.
Delish Nguwaya: A businessman who gained notoriety for his alleged involvement in corrupt activities.
Mudiwa Hood: A popular Zimbabwean musician.
Eric Francis Niyonsaba: Director of Kambucha Beverages.
Auxillia Mnangagwa was honoured on 7 December 2022 with an honorary doctorate degree in development studies by the Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) in recognition of her “philanthropist activities”.

NUST held a Bizarree graduation ceremony. In 2020, NUST held a virtual graduation ceremony for 2,528 students, including those from Bulawayo.
In 2024, President Mnangagwa presided over a graduation ceremony at NUST Bulawayo, where 3,201 students graduated.

1. Victims of the 90 Year old catholic Priest, Father Brian Porter abused hundreds of boys at the St Ignatius High Chishawasha High school starting in the late 70s. Former students have formed a group called the Justice, Healing and Closure group. Father Porter died on July 8.
2. Edmore Govere defrauded a UK based Zimbabwean widow of USD7800. Govere is the founder of the Citizens Legal Aid Society and Advisory Trust. He appeared before magistrate Marewanazvo Gofa yesterday who released him on US$500 bail. He was ordered to surrender the title deeds to his Waterfalls home and not to interfere with witnesses until the matter is finalised. He was also ordered to report twice a week at the ZACC offices. The complainant is Lydia Dambaza. She is the executor of her late husband Justice Justen Murungu’s estate. In 2021, Lydia Dambaza, who threatened to withdraw her Nyaradzo Funeral policy, after being denied the right to bury her husband at Glen Forest Cemetery by a court order, but made peace with her 81-year-old mother-in-law, Patricia Murungu. His body was eventually buried in Makoni.
