South African Football Association (SAFA) President Danny Jordaan was arrested yesterday over allegations of embezzling funds.

Jordaan appeared before court yesterday. He was granted R20,000  ($1,110) bail, however he denies any wrongdoing.

Between 2014 and 2018 Danny reportedly used the SAFA’s resources for his personal gain, including hiring a private security company for his personal protection and a public relations company, without authorisation from the SAFA board.

Meanwhile, his case has been adjourned to Dec. 5.
