Prominent Kadoma pharmacist and entrepreneur, Elison Tambudza was shot dead by unknown assailants on Friday.
The incident occurred around 20:30 evening as he parked his vehicle in the car port upon returning at his home in Westview.
An armed guard who was providing services at Tambudza’s house spotted two unidentified men scaling the precast perimetre wall.
The two assailants got to the guard before he could react, they tied his hands using shoelaces, started interrogating him demanding to know what time Tambudza usually returns home from work.
The security guard managed to escape his captors and alerted neighbours however they did not manage to save Tambudza who was shot on the head.
Meanwhile, the guard has been arrested and is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
