Zimlive reports that Deputy finance minister David Mnangagwa’s driver Ishmael Maburisa was found dead in his room at Greys Inn hotel on Sunday.
Ishmael is suspected to have succumbed to diabetic shock in his room.
His sudden death happened hours after the Zanu PF annual conference ended in Bulawayo.
Police were called to the hotel in the early hours of Sunday, where they found Ishmael already dead.
Before his death, Maburisa had appeared at the hotel’s reception shouting “get me food please” several times.
It is thought he was having an episode of hypoglycemia or low blood glucose levels leading to his death.
