WATCH LIVE: Gambakwe Media sources have exclusively revealed that the Zimbabwe military stopped the plan by Mnangagwa to extend his term beyond 2030 in a third term bid. This has resulted in the ZANU-PF annual people’s conference coming to an early end.
This effectively means Mnangagwa has lost power and face on a plan that he worked on over the past 2 years. the military is said to have informed Mnangagwa that the plan was not being supported and threatened to intervene immediately if the resolution was adopted.
The ED 2030 plan had gained momentum, with Masvingo and Midlands leaders spending days at Mnangagwa’s Precab farm.
Focus now turns on Chiwenga, who is set to take over as party and Zimbabwe president. Chiwenga is expected to take over sooner than expected.
The next plan now includes putting in place Valerio Sibanda or Collins Mnangagwa to counter Chiwenga.
