Self exiled former minister of tourism Walter Mzembi has warned Vimbai Nyemba against misleading people.

This comes after Nyemba accused opposition activist Namatai Kwekweza of lying about her abduction.

Nyemba was speaking at the African Union’s (AU) 81st Ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human Rights (ACHPR) being held in Gambia,

Taking to X, Mzembi said politics of appeasement is turning Vimbai into an unrecognisable character.

“This is really sad and beyond Vimbai Nyemba, politics of appeasement turns us into unrecognisable characters” . My shumba sister , Masibanda don’t be used, don’t go there , remain authentic”, said Mzembi.

Kwekweza, Chere and Gwenzi were forced off a plane at the international airport by plainclothes officers who accused them of planning crippling protests ahead of last August’s SADC Heads of State Summit held in Harare.

They were at that time headed to Victoria Falls for a conference.

The three were denied bail upon appearance at the Harare Magistrates Court and eventually released after the SADC summit.
