Zimbabwean-american actress Danai Gurira has announced a new partnership for her film organisation Almasi Collaborative Arts.
The organization will spearhead the first production of, Family Riots, written by Gideon Wabvuta, which will debut in Zimbabwe this November.
Almasi has been actively supporting education, opportunity, and access for African artists in Zimbabwe for over 13 years.
Gurira said this marks an important chapter in Almasi Arts’ ongoing efforts to elevate African storytelling and theatre.
