President Emmerson Mnangagwa has, in terms of Section 27(1) of the Civil Protection Act, declared a State of Disaster following a destructive fire at the Mbare Traders Market.
In a statement on Tuesday, Local Government Minister July Moyo said the declaration will assist in the mobilization of necessary resources to support the rebuilding of the market.
Over 4000 traders were affected by the inferno which burnt down the whole retail section and parts of the wholesale market.
