Opposition activist, Zvaringeni Samuel Chasi has for the first time explained how he left the Zimbabwe military. Writing on X. Chasi said:
On religious/traditional principles including personal integrity, l don’t support crimes against humanity . I have been under different ministries and parastatals from a tender age ,the first being Min of youth, sports and culture then under Min of Defense as a Civil Military Relations – Practioneer [ See Link Below] and one of the only 2 people born after 1980- post independence to hold that appointment or work in that portfolio .
I never supported the coup d’état of 2017 or Military Shootings of 2018 – When crimes against humanity take place they must be reported. The constitution must be adhered.I tendered my resignation with terminal benefits after persecutions.I was summoned by OPC ,Defense House ,KGVl several times – l earned their respect for my valor ! All that happened to me was not in terms of the Defense Act or Constitution of Zimbabwe. Patriotism was love for my country not Zanupf .
l did Service for my country- not for the money or to wait for a myth of 20 years Pension.Monthlanthe Commission of Enquiry on 2018 was to later come and unresolved to date. No one wants to take accountability of those actions .l am a human rights advocate, l stand with the civil society as primary goal. It takes me back to alignment on pillar power ,traditional- military & electorate,there many out there who don’t agree with Zanupf Regime and self explanatory on assassinations taking place mostly since 2005.
