1. John Zvivi and Lister Sibanda to face trial in Zimbabwe after they were extradited from South Africa. THE runaway killer couple, who skipped the border last year after allegedly murdering a four-year-old girl, Princess in Zvimba. After killing the child, they stashed her body in a sack before dumping it in a river. They will face justice in Zimbabwe after a South African court found them answerable to the crime. The pair’s children have been under the care of Social Welfare officials in South Africa. The deceased’s mother, Nomsa, left her two daughters in the couple’s custody while she worked as a maid in South Africa.

Zimbabwean businessman Cylverwell Tawanda Venge is a complainant in the case in which he was extorted of US37500 after he had “an online affair with the wife of a powerful Harare politician.” Simakuhle Ncube created fictitious characters, Tarisai Mlambo, Portia Mlambo and Brian Mususa. The scam took place between October 2023 and August 2024. “Tarisai’s husband,” Brian Mususa, supposedly found out about the affair and demanded money from Venge. To avoid trouble, Venge paid. Ncube then told Venge that Tarisai was sick from the stress of being caught, which led to Venge paying for fake medical bills and surgeries. Later, Ncube claimed Tarisai needed treatment in India, and eventually that she died there. Ncube also said Tarisai’s husband committed suicide, and Venge had to pay more to avoid revenge from the family. Venge never met any of these characters, only Ncube.
3. Samkeliso Mavundla (31) has started a group feeding homeless people in Bulwayo. The group has been operating since July 2023 and and feeds the homeless between 9th and George Silundika. They fund the activitie from their own pockets.

Zimbabwe boxing promoter, Charles Manyuchi has moves to Zambia where fees are lower. For Professional Boxing and Wrestling Control Board, he paid US$46. Other fees are hosting US$30, hire a boxing ring for US$25 and judges US$40 each.
Boxers enjoy a zero percent levy on their purses. In Zimbabwe, the licence for a promoter is pegged at US$250. The international tournament sanction fee stands at US$275. It costs around US$300 to hire a boxing ring, referees and judges require between US$80-$100 while the boxing control board is mandated to deduct 10 percent of a boxer’s earnings from each match.
