South Africa’s beauty model Chidimma Adetshina was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria on Saturday.
This comed as Chidima was forced to drop out of the Miss South Africa contest last month, over controversy about her citizenship.
Adetshina, 23, was born to a Nigerian father but has South African citizenship.
However, when she ran for Miss South Africa, she faced a lot of backlash with some South Africans, criticising her participation because of her roots.
