The friction between Floyd Shivambu and Sihle Lonzi has escalated. This after their leaked chats surfaced on social media. In the chats, Shivambu confronted him, advising him to stop making what he called foolish post.
Lonzi responded by asserting his commitment to the EFF. The exchange got personal as they accused each other of incompetence and betrayal. Lonzi claimed that Shivambu had undermined his role within the EFFSC while Shivambu dismissed Lonzi’s achievements and called him a liberal and a sell out.
Shivambu said that Lonzi had been removed from KZN because of his incompetence and pointed out how he had previously attacked the Guptas and was now their number one puppet.
Lonzi’s initial tweet was the catalyst for the friction as he equated Shivambu’s departure from the EFF to a betrayal of the revolution. This after Shivambu resigned from the EFF and joined the MK Party last week.
