WATCH LIVE as Gambakwe looks at the revelations by Dr Ibbo Mandaza who revealed that opposition leader, Nelson Chamisa, gave him a call this weekend. Mandaza said he did not pick up the call as he was too angry with Chamisa after he tweeted “#GodIsInIT”

Mandaza then went on to make the following revelations:
Mandaza has approached Chamisa on two occasions on various pacts both of which have been rejected.
1. Chamisa used to call him regularly before the elections and when he told him to not go into the elections, and instead focus on a NTA, Chamisa refused the suggestion.
2. Chamisa as only called mandaza twice on the phone ever since.
3. Mnangagwa, Ramaphosa and have received the NTA proposal.
4. Ramaphosa rejected the NTA proposal although DIRCO was in support.
5. Hakainde Hichilema has given money to Chamisa. The money has not been acknowledged.
6. Mandaza said he has no evidence that Chamisa received money from Mnangagwa.
I disagreed with Mandaza
1. Mandaza’s NTA is only for 2-3 years.
2. Mandaza’s NTA is based on a Chamisa Presidency, which is not possible under the military.
3. You can not have an NTA without military support
4. You can not have an NTA that is based on power, the NTA must be based on economy.
5. Mandaza’s NTA is based on the diaspora, and not on homecoming
6. Mandaza’s NTA is illegal.
6.The role of Dialogue is not clear.
7. There is no referendum in Mandaza’ NTA. Mandza is married to the idea of an NTA.
Conclusion
1. Political change in Zimbabwe must follow economic development
2. Successful elections can only happen in about 15 years
3. Homecoming must be the focus
4. The military and security structures will play a key role
