One of Zimbabwe’s finest football players Dereck Phiri (born 1 September 1980) has died. He played premier league football for Zimbabwe Saints and moved to Rail stars. He also played for Zimbabwe under 20 team.
His career was cut short due to several car accidents, He died 0n 5 August 2024 in the morning. The family said his cause of death was a heart attack. He left behind wife and four children, the last born is six months old MHDSRIP
