Pro-democracy activist Namatai Kwekweza, Councillor Samuel Gwenzi and Trade Unionist Robson Chere have reportedly gone missing.

They were allegedly ejected from a plane at Robert Mugabe International Airport earlier today and sources say they were arrested.

According to Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights on their official X account, the trio reached out to them but they since have been unsuccessful in their followup.

Commenting on this, opposition politicians Fadzayi Mahere and Gift Ostallos Siziba said the trio’s arrest was done by ZANU-pf which is attempting to silence dissenting voices ahead of the SADC Summit.

Ostallos says human rights activists, trade unionist and democratic opposition members are being targeted at this period.
