1. The new US Ambassador Pamela Tremont has spoken on the Zimbabwe 2023 elections and said these elections were not free and fair. She was accredited on the 17th of July 2024 and had a closed door meeting with Mnangagwa.
2. President Hakainde Hichilema turned down an invitation to come to Zimbabwe for a tripartite meeting on conversation. Nyusi accepted the invitation and signed a number of agreements with Mnangagwa.
