Emmanuel Gumbo, a human rights defender has spoken on the MDC-Alliance’s history, emphasizing that the alliance that contested the 2018 election was a seven-party coalition, distinct from the one that attended the Gweru Congress.
Gumbo stressed the importance of accuracy, warning against rewriting history for political gain.
He explained that the 2018 alliance consisted of MDC-T, MDC-N, PDP, TZ, ZPF, MRD, and ZANU NDONGA, with a memorandum of understanding valid until election day.
