International economist Dambisa Moyo has been appointed as Chairman of The Economic Club of New York Finance and Investment Committee.
Moyo a Zambian-born economist and author took to social media to announce the new development.
“I am happy and honoured to announce my appointment as Vice Chairman and Chairman of The Economic Club of New York Finance and Investment Committee”, said Moyo.
Dambisa Felicia Moyo is known for her analysis of macroeconomics and global affairs. She has written five books, including four New York Times bestsellers
On 8 November 2022, she was created Baroness Moyo, of Knightsbridge in the City of Westminster, Â receiving a life peerage during the Queen’s 2022 Special Honours.
Moyo is married to billionaire Jared Smith, co-founder of Utah-based cloud computing company Qualtrics.
