Former South African leader Nelson Mandela’s daughter Mazakiwe has been granted the green light to auction his items.
Mandela’s items including his ID book, which he received in 1993 after his release from prison, is among 69 other things set to be sold in February.
This follows a two-year battle where the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA) went to court to try and block the sale of the items, describing them as heritage objects.
New York-based auction company Guernsey’s has set February 22 as the date for the sale.
