Former South Africa President Thabo Mbeki’s foundation has dismissed as false rumours that its patron has died.
In a press statement released Wednesday afternoon, the foundation said Mbeki is in good health.
This comes after statrments that Mbeki has died circulated on social media.
The statement read: “We categorically deny these reports and wish to assure the public that president Mbeki is in good health.”
“We urge caution and responsible engagement with online information, particularly during a time when misinformation can spread rapidly.”
