Ruvimbo Makumbe speaks about the new immigration regulations from the UK. Ruvimbo explains that coming to the UK has taken a massive toll on Zimbabwean families as most do not understand what life is really like in the UK.

However, under new immigration proposals, immigrant health care workers will not be able to bring their families to the UK on care visas.

Most Zimbabweans go to the UK as care workers as the local people are not willing this kind of job. Ruvimbo says the UK has increased the salaries that immigrant workers must be paid by 30% to 38 700 pounds per year.

Ruvimbo says it is not easy to earn this kind of salary on care work.

Ruvimbo says Zimbabweans should now consider other working arrangements such as remote work. She encourages Zimbabweans to think outside the box.
