High Court judge Webster Chinamora has resigned to avoid an official inquiry into his alleged misconduct case.
Chinamora was under fire after allegedly handing down a judgement in a matter he did not hear.
The resignation comes after President Emmerson Mnangagwa set up a tribunal last week to investigate his conduct.
In March, the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) recommended the inquiry after Justice Chinamora was accused of corruption.
