Gabon President Ali Bongo Ondimba has confirmed he has been placed under house arrest.

In a video shared on Al Jazeera, Ondimba pleaded for help, urging citizens to ‘make noise’.

This comes after Ondimba, 64, was re-elected for a third term, in an election the opposition described as a fraud.

Meanwhile, Generals have a secret meeting to decide who should lead the transition after military officers seized power.
