Disqualified Zimbabwean Presidential election candidate, Linda Masarira, has warned Chamisa’ supporters against gathering at polling stations after voting.

Writing on Twitter, Masarisa said:

The law is clear. Please do not be caught on the wrong side of the law because of social media peer pressure. Vote in peace and go home to wait for the results. We do not want a repeat of 2018 skirmishes and violence. It is possible to have elections without any loss of life. No politician is worth anyone’s life. Be wise usanomiswe papolling station vana vevarikuda kuti umirepo vasipo. Your life matters preserve it. #ZimElections2023

Linda went on to share a screenshot of the Zimbabwean electoral law that specifies the distance at which people can gather away from a polling station after voting.
