South Africa Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi says foreigners are not being kicked out of the country instead the system is set to standardise visa processes.
Motsoaledi was addressing the uproar happening over Zimbabwe Exemption Permits. This comes as the Zimbabwean Exemption Permit Holders (ZEPHA) is challenging the termination of ZEPs in court.
Motsoaledi said: “The stories that we are chasing Zimbabweans away is what I read from the media and hear from other people.
“We’re not chasing them, we are saying, all we are saying is this thing must come to an end,” he said.
Meanwhile, Gauteng High Court in Pretoria reserved its judgement in the case brought (ZEPHA) and other civil society organisations against the state.
