Former Botswana President Ian Khama visited the Rwanda Genocide memorial site today.
Khama who is in Kigali for the African Heritage Concert and Awards had the opportunity to visit the Kigali Genocide.
The site serves as a reminder of the terrible atrocities that took place in 1994.
Khama said the sites displays a memory from the genocide victims, including clothes, shoes and human remains.
“May the souls of the departed continue to Rest in Peace,” he said.
