Zimbabwe Police have released the names of the three pedestrians who died on the spot in Zaka when a Harare-bound Inter Africa bus veered off the road and crushed them yesterday.
ZRP Masvingo Provincial spokesperson, Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa said the deceased are:
1. Mary Gomo (43) from Chihanya village, Chief Nhema area in Zaka,
2. Margaret Chidari (43) and a child,
3. Chelsea Tanatswa Chidari (4) from Fambai Village, Chief Nhema area in Zaka.
Dhewa said the bus, with 75 passengers wa heading towards Nyika.
According to the statement, the Inter Africa Bus driver failed to negotiate a curve and veered off the road to the right, crushing the three pedestrians who were standing on the side road.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to Musiso Hospital in Zaka for a post mortem.
