Exiled Zimbabwean Pastor and #ThisFlag founder, Evan Mawarire, has landed a high level job in the USA.
Mawarire has recently been appointed the Director of Education at the Renew Democracy Initiative.
As part of his work, Mawarire hosts the Frontlines of Democracy podcast
Mawarire has became a prominent human rights activist in the USA, giving talks to students on his experiences when he started the popular movement that marked the fall of Mugabe.
In a recent YouTube Video, Mawarire explains why #ThisFlag did not have any structures. He explained that #ThisFlag was a citizen movement and this prevented the Zimbabwe government from infiltrating the movememnt.
