Simbarashe Zisengwe and Netsai Makwanya appeared in court for robbing Apostle Talent Chiwenga ‘s church, Jesus Revelations Ministries.

The court heard that Makwanya is a deacon at the church.

The duo, and one Enerst Kagoro, who is still at large, connived to steal from Jesus Revelation Ministries.

Kagoro went to the church with US$20, which he pretended to pay as an offering, to the finance clerk, Sochileka Adamu.

As Adamu was trying to receipt the offering, Zisengwe allegedly went to the safe and took two cash boxes.

They contained US$7 000.

This prompted Adamu to scream for help.

Kagoro ran out of the church premises and disappeared.
The court heard that Zisengwe was apprehended by members of the public, who responded to Adamu’s screams.

When interrogated, Zisengwe implicated Makwanya and Kagoro as his accomplices.

The money was recovered at the scene.
