Watch as Hamburg based Zimbabwean poet, Faith Farai speaks in Hamburg, Germany where she has been living since she was 8 years old.
Faith speaks about how she grew up surrounded by people that inspired her, including her older sister and her father’s twin brother. Faith reveals that there is a judge and a teacher in her family, and she is friends with a CEO, people that have shaped and inspired her in life.
Faith speaks about growing up in Harare surrounded by different people with different circumstances. She says representation will allow you to believe that you can enter certain doors and take a sit on certain tables.
Faith lives in Hamburg with her husband and daughter as an author, poet and works as an editor. So far she has published two volumes of poetry. She published her first volume “Mirror, Mirror” in 2020, her second collection “‘pretty for a black girl’.
