The Newsday reports that incarcerated Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) legislator Job Sikhala was allegedly poisoned in his prison cell at Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison.
This comes after Sikhala’s wife was called by prison officials asking her to urgently get a doctor for her husband.
Sikhala is vomiting and suffering from severe diarrhoea since yesterday.
He was arrested on June 14 after violence broke out in Nyatsime, Chitungwiza, folliwing the death of Moreblessing Ali.
