South Africa Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi says there will be no further extensions for the Zimbabwe Exemption Permits.
This comes after Motsoaledi announced that the validity of the permits has been extended by a further six months.
The initial expiry date was 31 December.
He said the reason for the extension is due to the low number of applications received.
Only 6,000 of the 178,000 permit holders had responded to Motsoaledi’s calls for application.
Motsoaledi said they will not further accommodate those who don’t take advantage of the extension.
He added that permit holders should not be harrased or attacked amid the six months extension.
