President Hakainde Hichilema officiated at the Lwanza Traditional Ceremony in Southern Zambia.
Writting on Facebook, Hichilema, said he attended the ceremony in interest of promoting hardwork and unity in the country.
The Lwanza Traditional Ceremony of the Tonga, Lundwe and ila people of Senior Chief Hamusonde of Bweengwa was held in Monze District, Southern Zambia.
“We are delighted to see traditional leaders from across the country interacting with each other at these occasions. This unity in diversity is what we wanted to see.”
Hakainde said he is not in competition with traditional leaders, instead they are complimentary in delivering development.
“We are one Zambia! One Nation! One People and therefore let’s embrace the various cultures and traditions existing in our country. May God bless all our traditional leaders and may God bless our country,” Hichilema.
