Bulawayo rapper Tafadzwa Tarukwana popularly known as Asaph has revealed that he got his Stage name from Hebrew texts.
In an interview with Trevor Ncube, Asaph said starting his career he was called quad fire but changed to Asaph when he was doing an internship at a bible school in Swaziland.
“I had this index of Hebrew names, as IÂ was going through it I cane across the word Asaph and I loved what it meant”, he said.
He further added that the word means Jhova has gathered.
“I believe im someone who has been put in position o gather the whole generation of young Zimbabweans and Africans”, said Asaph.
Asaph is a Zimbabwean rapper based in Bulawayo. He has been nominated to represent Zimbabwe in the viewers choice category.
