The MDC has released historical footage of Nelson Chamisa praising the government of National Unity when he was the Minister Of Telecommunications in 2011.

Chamisa was speaking during the funeral service at the rural home of Sungura legend, Tongai Moyo in Kwekwe.

Chamisa, who was accompanied by ZANU PF Official, Mupfumi, said Tongai Moyo was the real GNU as he loved and was loved by everyone regardless of their political affiliation.

Chamisa praised the GNU and said everyone was now pulling in the same direction, like a big machine.

The Late Tongai Moyo had 14 studio albums to his name at the time of his death.

He died at the age of 43 after succumbing to Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Dhewa, as he was affectionately known, was popular for his flamboyant lifestyle and won numerous awards over his 20 year career.

Over 15,000 people attended his funeral at Mbizo Stadium in Kwekwe to pay their last respects.

The funeral turned into a celebration of his life as musicians took the stage to perform his songs — including “Samanyemba,” Naye,” and “Muchina Muhombe.”
