Two Zimbabwean musicians Winky D and Buffalo Souljah have been nominated for the Best African Dancehall Raggae Act.

Among the two are other musicians from other African countries including South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria and Kenya.

The two Zimbabweans will be battling for the award with other musicians who are B-clean, Brown Sugar, Heph B, Jupiter, NC Dread, Patroranking, Samini, Shatta Wale, Stone Bwoy and Wrye.

Buffalo Souljah is a South Africa-based Zimbabwean award winning reggae recording artist and songwriter. He owns the record label U.N.A.

Winky D is a Zimbabwean reggae-dancehall artist, known popularly as “The Big Man”, and also known as Dancehall Igwe, Gaffa, Proffesor etc. He is often considered the Zimdancehall pioneer.

The two once dropped a single called ‘Rugare’ together.

“Rugare” is about a person searching for peace in life and wanting to live the dream.
