Sunday World reports that a Zimbabwean witness has been killed in the South African Witness protection program.
Shepherd Tshuma, one of the two remaining witnesses, was found dead by a caretaker after being flung off the third floor balcony of a safe house.
Tshuma has been in witness protection since 2011 when he and Maqhawe Sibanda alleged that they were kidnapped to be sent back to Zimbabwe by former Gauteng Hawks boss Head Shadrack Sibiya and his Colleague , Hawk Colonel Cowboy Maluleke to face murder charges.
Both Tshuma and Sibanda were suspects in the murder of Bulawayo detective Larence Chatikobo.
Their case was used in the suspension of Hawks Top Cops Anwa Dramat and Sibiya for alleged illegal Rendition.
Tshuma’s sister Priscilla said the family is waiting for the police to release the body and they have not been told what happened.
