Chiwenga was caught red handed in an exam with a plagiarized essay which was a word for word copy.
He was studying at the British Military Advisory Training School.

Chiwenga was pardoned and later graduated.
He is now a holder of a Phd which he earned at the University of of Kwazulu Natal.
