The bitter MDC T leader Thokozani Khuphe has joined ZANU PF in calling for sanctions removal. She is set to join anti – sanctions demonstrations on 25 October 2019.
Speaking in a video , the former vice president of the late Morgan Tsvangirai said sanctions affect all Zimbabweans .
She added that her party has realised that ordinary Zimbabweans suffer due to the specific individual sanctions imposed on the country in 2002. Thokozani Khuphe is one of the leaders who supported targeted specific sanctions against ZANU PF top brass in 2002.
Since sanctions were imposed ZANU PF has not changed anything. They are not committed to any reforms . Nothing has changed on the ground. Abductions have increased . The army shot protesters on August 1 last year .
Thokozani Khuphe was widely criticised for refusing to accept Nelson Chamisa’s leadership after the death of Tsvangirai.
She was expelled from the party. After 2018 general elections she joined ZANU PF in POLAD talks . She has been viewed as ED Mnangagwa’ s mouth piece .
