Chief justice luke Malaba was born in Plumtree in Matabeleland south province.
He is the current Chief justice of Zimbabwe presiding over the supreme court and constitutional court of Zimbabwe .

Following the chaotic land reform white farmers won the case against the government of Zimbabwe in the SADC tribunal court. Malaba dismissed their application in Zimbabwe.
Critics :
Chief justice Malaba is widely seen as a ZANU PF sympathiser after he presided over an MDC court case that challenged ZEC for declaring ED Mnangagwa as winner in the 2018 presidential elections .Malaba upheld ZEC ‘ s decision.
