Zvikomborero Maria Makedenge is a US-based Zimbabwean woman who has recently been arrested and is currently on trial in Harare for the alleged sexual assault of a 16-year-old boy. The alleged incident took place on August 2, 2025, in Glen View, Harare. According to the State’s case, she allegedly promised to facilitate the boy’s travel to the United States, where she is formally employed, in exchange for his silence.
Makedenge has appeared at the Harare Magistrates Court and her trial is currently underway. Zvikomborero is believed to be related to Crispen Makedenge, a retired Assistant Commissioner and former Criminal Investigations Department (CID) boss in charge of Law and Order in Harare. Crispen Makedenge was a prominent figure in the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) who retired after a lengthy career.
