Zimbabwean gospel artists Ellard and Sharon Cherayi were gifted a Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series by Dr. Paul Tungwarara, the Special Presidential Investment Adviser, in October 2025. The gift was presented at a show in Harare.
Speaking during the handover, Tungwarara said:
It is with profound humility and unwavering conviction that I stand before you today at the Harare International Conference Centre, where over 10,000 vibrant young people have gathered in unity and purpose to declare war against the devastating scourge of drug and substance abuse.
This gathering is a spiritual movement, a divine alignment with His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa’s vision for a morally upright, empowered, and drug-free Zimbabwe. We are here to reaffirm that the future of our nation lies in the hands of a generation that is not only educated and skilled, but also spiritually grounded.
I am deeply encouraged by the presence of Hon Tinoda Machakaire, Minister of Youths, Empowerment and Vocational Training Centres, and Cde Tendai Chirau, ZANU PF Deputy Secretary for Security, whose commitment to youth transformation is both bold and commendable.
Today, we have witnessed the power of the Word of God in action, through prayer, worship, and testimony. The atmosphere has been electrified by the ministry of gospel musicians from Zimbabwe and beyond, whose voices have stirred hearts and awakened hope.
In recognition of the extraordinary impact made by Ellard and Sharon Cherayi, a young couple whose dedication to the Ministry of God has touched countless lives, I am honoured to donate a 300 Series Toyota Land Cruiser to support and elevate their mission. Their faith, humility, and service are a beacon to many, and it is my prayer that this gift will empower them to reach even greater heights in their calling.
Let this day mark a turning point. Let it be known that Zimbabwe’s youth are rising—not in rebellion, but in righteousness. Together, we will build a nation where purpose triumphs over addiction, and where the Word of God is the foundation of our future.God bless you all. God bless Zimbabwe.
