WATCH LIVE as Gambakwe looks at an exclusive NewsHawks story who reveled that Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga told the ZANU-PF presidium and politburo on 17 September 2025 that Jonathan Moyo was engaged in treason by writing a secret “Breaking Barriers Initiative” document aimed at changing Zimbabwe’s political system and postponing the 2028 elections to 2035.

He said the initiative was never discussed or approved by the party and was being covertly implemented and funded by criminals including Kudakwashe Tagwirei, Wicknell Chivhayo, Scott Sakupwanya, and Delish Nguwaya. Chiwenga accused these individuals of looting public funds and called for their immediate arrest and severe punishment.

Chiwenga called on President Mnangagwa during the ZANU-PF politburo meeting to ensure the immediate arrest of Kudakwashe Tagwirei, Wicknell Chivhayo, Scott Sakupwanya, and Delish Nguwaya, accusing them of looting billions of dollars from public coffers and using those funds to capture party structures.

Chiwenga emphasized that these arrests should happen before Mnangagwa considers stepping down or making any succession moves. He warned that failure to deal with these individuals would undermine the party’s integrity and called for severe punishment. Chiwenga also mentioned that plans were in place to counter reversals by factions opposed to these arrests, signaling that the removal of certain party officials involved was imminent even if they resisted. This demand for arrests was a key and dramatic part of his confrontation within the party leadership
