A Delta bus traveling from Johannesburg to Zimbabwe was reportedly hijacked in South Africa early this morning, 9 October 2025. Passengers were robbed, and two people were allegedly shot dead during the attack. Witness accounts suggest the assailants may have boarded in Johannesburg and struck after a toll gate. Police are attending the scene as details remain unclear.

This incident is part of a pattern of attacks targeting buses travelling between South Africa and Zimbabwe. Past reports show that:
- In December 2022, a bus travelling to Harare was robbed after three armed suspects boarded in Pretoria. Two women were shot and killed in that incident.
- In August 2025, a bus travelling from Johannesburg to Zimbabwe was involved in a collision near Musina after colliding with a bakkie.
- There have also been reports of other incidents, including a Mzansi Express bus robbery in 2016 and an Intercape bus attack in May 2025.
