
Tadiwanashe Tatenda Mtetwa, a 20-year-old model from Chimanimani, Zimbabwe, is preparing to represent her country at the prestigious Miss Tourism Africa International 2025 pageant in Nigeria next month. Her journey to the continental stage began after she was recently crowned Miss Tourism Africa Zimbabwe 2025, a historic title that recognizes her unique combination of beauty, intelligence, and dedication to community development.
Mtetwa’s path to success is marked by perseverance. Her pageant career started in 2024 with a second princess title at the Young Women 4ED competition, followed by a first princess win at Miss Elite Zimbabwe. She is not only a model but also a passionate environmentalist and youth advocate, being the founder of Earthcare Champions, a community project focused on tree planting and environmental education.
Mtetwa views the pageant as an opportunity for cultural exchange, hoping to foster greater understanding and friendship between Zimbabwe and Nigeria while sharing her unique perspectives.
Supported by her management and her Chimanimani community, Mtetwa is undergoing intense preparations for the event. Whether or not she wins the crown, she has already become a symbol of hope and empowerment for young people across Zimbabwe and Africa, aiming to make her nation proud by standing for progress, purpose, and pride in her roots
