The Save Beach Tourism Jamboree held today at Save River Birchenough Bridge showcased the beauty and potential of Rural Tourism in Zimbabwe. The event was a vibrant display of local community spirit and visitors from far and wide enjoyed various sports activities such as soccer, rugby, volleyball, music and traditional dances.

The Minister of Tourism, Hon Barbara Rwodzi and Manicaland Minister of State, Hon Misheck Mugadza added to the festive atmosphere by joining in the activities and mingling with participants.

The decentralisation of this year’s Sanganai/Hlanganani Tourism Expo to Mutare as part of the Second Republic’s devolution initiative has successfully promoted tourism in rural areas, aligning with Vision 2030. The event highlighted the potential of rural tourism to thrive in Zimbabwe, attracting both local and international visitors and showcasing the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
