Vice President Dr. Constantino Chiwenga has paid tribute to President Emmerson Mnangagwa as he celebrates his 83rd birthday on Monday, commending his dedication to steering Zimbabwe’s progress.

In a message of goodwill, Chiwenga applauded the President for his commitment to national development, noting achievements in economic growth, infrastructure projects, and social reforms under his leadership.


“On this special occasion, I want to celebrate your commitment to our nation’s progress,” said the Vice President.

Chiwenga highlighted the impact of the National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1), describing it as a key driver of sustainable growth, and praised Mnangagwa’s efforts in strengthening Zimbabwe’s ties with the international community.

“Your work in this area has elevated Zimbabwe’s standing globally, supporting our development agenda,” he added.

He further acknowledged the President’s recent role as SADC Chairperson, saying his regional leadership had earned him respect and recognition across southern Africa.

Marking the milestone birthday, Chiwenga described Mnangagwa as a leader who embodies unity, resilience, and progress, guiding Zimbabwe toward a brighter future.
