Zimbabwean business tycoon Kudakwashe Tagwirei, often described as one of the most influential men behind President Emmerson Mnangagwa, has reportedly surfaced in Eswatini and his appearance is already stirring speculation about his political ambitions.
Pictures circulating on X (formerly Twitter) suggest Tagwirei attended the Eswatini International Trade Fair and may have held talks with members of the Swazi royal family. While neither government has officially confirmed his visit, the images have triggered heated debate online.

Observers argue that Tagwirei’s growing regional visibility could be more than business. Coming at a time of uncertainty within ZANU-PF over who will eventually succeed Mnangagwa, his presence in Eswatini is being interpreted by some as a subtle move to position himself as a power broker or even a future contender.
